Community Engagement
We believe in giving back to our community, especially during times of need.
In the months of April & May 2020 we partnered with Feed the Frontline Canada to feed over 600 frontline workers at Vancouver General Hospital, Richmond Hospital, St. Paul's Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, Burnaby Hospital, Richmond Health Unit, Lions Gate Hospital and North Vancouver Urgent and Primary Care Centre.
We provided meals to the Burnaby Hospital’s frontline staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We regularly donate bagels to the St. James Music Academy’s free breakfast and lunch program. SJMA provides classical music education to at-risk youth, so the children can discover the deep riches of their own potential and new self-esteem.

We also regularly donate to Food Stash which redirects surplus food destined for the landfill to local non-profits and food-insecure households and individuals throughout Vancouver.

We began supporting A Loving Spoonful back in May 2019 and will have donated 3,180 bagels by September 2019 reaching over 10,000 people in need by early 2020!
A Loving Spoonful is a volunteer-driven, non-partisan Society that provides free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in Greater Vancouver. Every week, all year round for over 19 years, A Loving Spoonful volunteers deliver approximately 1200 frozen meals and over 250 snack packs to men, women and children who are primarily homebound with AIDS.

In 2013, we donated to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation all sales from our first store opening in Lonsdale, totaling $4,600.
